Flowonics Develops Controlled Emission Toilet System for Mark 3 Coaches

Flowonics is proud to announce that it has developed a Controlled Emission Toilet (CET) System for installation on Mk III Coaches, as part of the ongoing commitment to providing Engineered Solutions for the Rail Industry. This is the first time that a CET system, equivalent to those fitted on more modern rail vehicles, has been commercially available for Mk III vehicles and represents the first of a wider range of designs that will allow owners/operators to eliminate 'ballast flush' toilet systems from older types of rolling stock. The design incorporates extensive experience and expertise in the effective design of CET systems and components that has been gained over recent years. Flowonics is now working with a number of interested parties to demonstrate the new system on a suitable vehicle, prior to a full launch early in 2010.

Dave Swift joins Flowonics team.

Dave has joined the Flowonics team as Sales Manager to provide customers with an enhanced service in the Products, Spares and Repairs sectors. Dave has previously been employed by Bombardier Transportation in their Spares and Logistics business and is looking forward to utilising his extensive experience to support Flowonics' customers.

Flowonics Awarded Major Contracts

Flowonics has been awarded a contract worth more than £2M for the supply of underframe, traction and cab pipework for the new Victoria Line Underground trains being built by Bombardier Transportation. This contract covers the supply of pre-formed pipework together with associated brackets in vehicle kits in line with the production schedule.

Flowonics has also received an order worth more than £100k, for the supply of toilet hoses and associated equipment, in support of the new build of Class 390 Pendolino vehicles. These vehicles are being manufactured to enable the lengthening of existing Pendolino trains operated on West Coast Mainline services from London Euston.

Flowonics Launches New Website

Flowonics has launched a fully updated website to reflect the significant and exciting developments the company has made recently. The new site provides new and existing customers with a full summary of the products and services offered by Flowonics and reflects the increasing emphasis within the company on supplying Engineered Solutions. The new site has been developed by Smart Rail Services as part of a wider collaboration between the two organisations.
